925 Sterling Silver

925 sterling silver consists of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other alloying elements (mostly copper). Its natural luster and elegant tone make it a frequent choice in both classic and modern designs, adding a valuable and stylish look to jewelry.

Why did we use 925 silver for this model?

In this model, fine details and stone settings were paramount — the workability of 925 silver is ideal for creating precise settings, delicate curves, and slim profiles in stone-set designs. The craftsmanship flexibility is the same as in brass; meaning we obtain an elegant and durable piece while preserving the original lines of the design.

Coating and durability

925 silver can oxidize and tarnish over time; this is a natural chemical process. Rhodium plating is frequently applied to improve the shine and resistance to tarnishing of the products. Rhodium plating provides extra shine and protection against tarnishing; the plating can be renewed if needed.

Maintenance recommendations

Keep your jewelry away from moisture, perfume, and chemicals.

Wiping with a soft, dry cloth after use will maintain the shine.

For slight tarnishing, you can use a silver cleaning cloth or a gentle silver cleaner.

Professional cleaning/coating restoration is recommended for deep scratches or severe oxidation.

Short note

925 silver, with its suitability for gemstone-set and detailed craftsmanship, ensures both an aesthetically pleasing and high-quality design; with proper plating and care, it offers long-lasting use.
